Knowing what outcomes you want to achieve from a wellness program is the best place to start, which will help you determine the type of program to initiate and the approximate cost per employee.
In case you are struggling with where to begin, we wanted to introduce you to "Wellness 101," where you can learn about the three traditional levels of wellness programs.
Kadalyst crafted the next level of wellness, building on the elements that have been proven to be successful and added a high-touch, interactive team of professionals. We are onsite at your workplace to design, implement and manage a complete wellness solution tailored to address the specific needs of your organization.
| Level 1: Healthy Work Environment | |
| Purpose: | Employee appreciation and desire to create a fun work environment |
| Investment: | $10 - $50 per employee per year (PEPY) |
| Activities: | Fun and healthy activities, such as a walking club |
| ROI: | Not possible at this level due lack program measurement |
| Level 2: Standard Wellness Program | |
| Purpose: | Gain more participation within activities that will get people healthier. Some internal effort to obtain participation from the "at-risk" is needed. |

| Activities: | Offers a wider variety of activities, and an incentive program for engaging in those activities. |
| ROI: | Potentially up to 3:1 if measuring results; unfortunately at this level  there's only about 50% participation, which is the healthy 50%. |
| Level 3: Productivity and Health Intervention (PHI) | |
| Purpose: | Obtain an ROI by increasing productivity and decreasing care costs from the chronic population (focused on the unhealthy population) |
| Investment: |  $151 - $450 PEPY - (requires dedicated person(s) and does not include incentive dollars for participation) |
| Activities: | Health assessments, linking wellness to benefits and incentives, standard fitness, nutrition and stress management programs initiated |
| ROI: | 3:1 to 6:1 (based on focused interventions, participation and results). |
